 Objective of Ring Machine

•  To draft the roving to its count in the drafting system.
• To impart strength to the bundle of fiber by twisting it. 
• To wind the yarn in suitable form for storage, transportation and downstream process. 

Passage  

    The feed material come from speed frame i.e. roving bobbin is placed on the creel. The creel which is attached to the machine in shape of umbrella type. The feed material is passed under the guide roller and through the trumpet in to the drafting zone. Here, some draft is given to roving material. The drafting system is 3 over 3 drafting system with apron. The roving material is stretched without damaging fiber by means of roller drafting system basically the roller having speed difference. So draft introduced in roving the speed difference set accordingly our draft required. Here, bottom roller are positively driven and having metallic surface and the top roller frictionally driven by bottom roller. Here, pressure applied by weighting arrangement. At middle drafting roller apron provided for better fiber control.  Roving pass out from front drafting roller then it is passes through lappet guide, balloon controlling ring, traveller to the bobbin. 

    Bobbin is placed on spindle. Whenever the spindle is rotate the bobbin is also rotate. Traveller is provided on ring and ring is mounted on ring rail. This ring rail is on machine frame. When spindle is rotate & bobbin also rotate and traveller rotate on ring flange. Ring having round type shape so when traveller finish one turn of ring flange. It’s introduced the one turn on material. Due to this the twist is taking place. Twist flow direction is bottom to top in vertical manner.

    Basically traveller is driven by bobbin by means of negatively of frictionally driven. Therefore here create a difference in speed. Due to speed difference of spindle and traveller the winding taking place.  

    The function of lappet guide control the material path; and the function of balloon control ring is break the balloon which form during the winding balloon and reduce the centrifugal force ad reduce tension fluctuation during winding of the yarn on bobbin. Between two spindles one separator is provided to avoid the entanglement of neighbouring winding. The bobbin prepared by ring frame is called “cop” or ring frame bobbin this bobbin going to subsequent process.
