NPC – Nearest Point of Contact 

FPC – Farthest Point of Contact

NPC To FPC – Downward to Upward move Follower  
FPC To NPC – Upward to Downward move Follower

• After 1 rotation of cam the shuttle is two pick inserted
• A tappet is given a rotary motion so that it depresses a follower and a lever, known respectively as the anti-friction bowl and he treadle arrangement, by means of which he heald shaft is operated.
